SMS Messaging & Consent

Last Updated: July 2, 2026

KorTMS is a transportation management platform used by trucking and dispatching companies. This page explains how a company's drivers consent to receive operational text messages (SMS/MMS), what those messages contain, and how to opt out at any time.

Who sends and receives these messages

Messages are exchanged only between a trucking or dispatch company and that company's own drivers. Drivers are employees or contracted owner-operators of the company. KorTMS does not send messages to the general public and does not send marketing or promotional texts.

How drivers consent (opt-in)

Because this is workplace communication between a company and its own drivers, consent is obtained through the driver's working relationship with the company, not through a public sign-up form:

  • When a driver is hired or onboarded, the driver provides their mobile phone number to the company and verbally agrees to receive operational text messages about their work.
  • Company staff (dispatchers or administrators) then enter the driver's mobile number into KorTMS. Adding a driver's number to the platform reflects the driver's agreement to receive these operational messages.
  • Drivers who also use the KorTMS mobile app can view and reply to these messages inside the app.

There is no consumer-facing website form, keyword campaign, or point-of-sale opt-in — consent is established at the time the driver joins the company and shares their number for work communication.

What the messages contain

Messages are strictly operational and conversational. Typical examples:

  • "Hi John, you've been assigned load #1042: Chicago, IL → Dallas, TX. Pickup tomorrow 8:00 AM. Reply here with any questions."
  • "Reminder: pickup for load #1042 is in 1 hour at Acme Warehouse, 500 W Cermak Rd, Chicago. Let us know when you arrive."
  • "Running about 30 minutes late to the Dallas delivery — heavy traffic on I-35."
  • "Confirmed — delivery marked complete for load #1042. Please text a photo of the signed BOL when you get a chance."

Message frequency

Message frequency varies and depends on operational activity between the company and the driver.

Message and data rates

Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
